All the Spring Vibes

Hello friends,

Here in Michigan USA, it’s been a super dreary winter but spring vibes are in the air all over the northern hemisphere and I think most of us are ready for some bright sunny days. Today’s featured project from Emma Kate is the perfect springboard into this vibrant and colorful time of year. Let’s take a closer look.

“Hey Color Cast Fam, spring is in the air, well, mostly rain here in the UK but it's lovely weather for ducks. I would like to share this layout using the 'Spring Vibes' piece, I love the contrast between the script & block font, the block giving you a straight edge to use.”

“I used numerous layers of patterned paper from the 49th and Market 'Kaliedoscope' collection along with white cardstock cut into concentric squares. To add texture I machine stitched along the edges of the white squares.”

“My photo & 'Spring Vibes' title getting centre stage in the middle of the page, surrounded by fussy cut flowers, foliage & butterflies. The acrylic was slightly translucent but I wanted it to stand out against the background so before adhering it into place I painted the back with white paint.”

“To finish I tucked in tabs & word strips between each layer, then added a sprinkling of gems & sequins.”
