One Fall Day with Emma Kate

Hello there!

CT member Emma Kate returns with another fantastic project featuring an acrylic phrase from our September kit! This layout follows a classic pattern, making it a perfect template for overcoming creative blocks or incorporating plenty of gorgeous embellishments. Emma’s project beautifully combines several small scenes to capture this charming fall story. Let’s get into all the details with Emma.

“Hey Color Cast Fam, I'm back with an old faithful, the grid design. I happened to notice that the 'One Fall Day' title was around the size of a 3x4 card & from there my layout began.”

“Using five 3x4 cards from the DLS 'Splendid' collection I created my grid. The sixth 3x4 being my photo which I placed in the top row & my title acrylic piece being housed on a green 3x4 on the bottom row.”

“I embellished the remaining four corner cards with oodles of ephemera pieces, using foam tape in places to match the dimension of the title. Then I added a gust of leaves so that all of the cards seemed connected rather than their own separate little piece.”

“To finish I used the enamel dots from the same collection. Fall is so full of colour, it's beautiful, & gives us memory keepers some great photo opportunities, I can't wait to see yours!”
