An October Stories Mini Album Adventure
Hello CCD friends,
Are you creating a special October album or mini this year? I don't have little ones or any more Halloween memories of my boy to scrapbook, so I decided an October 2024 mini is on!
I decided to include my mustard 'October Stories' acrylic on the inside cover of my album. This is one of my absolute favorite colors and I love the idea of using this space. For me it's a bonus. Just add a few matching embellishments and it will be easy to create a visual triangle across to the opening page.
My first page is a photo framed with a die cut made from black cardstock. I poked holes around the frame and stitched in black thread for a bit of tone on tone texture. Next I chose a few embellishments for the right corner of my photo that reflected the left side of the inside cover holding my album title.
My first story is about our being outside with my autumn garden princess Haley and the next story documents the fact I was finally able to capture a picture of a blue jay hanging out in the trees along my back fence. They do that fairly often but fly away the minute I aim a camera at them. I’ve been trying for years to be quiet and quick to get a photo. These photos are from inside my house while I just happened to be standing by the sliding door with my phone in my hand.
I have several more stories already planned and will share on my IG feed, @documentinglife365. I am not committing to daily stories but I will fill this adorable album. I am using Paige Taylor Evans Tricks & Treats paper collection. It is absolutely charming.
