Designing with the “Follow Your Dreams” Acrylic Exclusive with Ali Skifton

Creative team member Ali Skifton is sharing a project that showcases the exclusive August kit acrylic. This particular piece has been a creative team favorite and it’s easy to see why! The acrylic phrase is a vibrant mix of happy colors AND embodies the quest to —follow our dreams— which resonates with the heart. Now let’s dive in to all the details of Ali’s beautiful project.

“Hello, this is Ali from @funadventureswithali, and I'm thrilled to share a project I created for the Color Cast Designs design team. When I came across the title ‘Follow your dreams,’ I knew I had to document my own dream coming true - becoming a cover girl. For the past few years, I've been envisioning my layout on a magazine cover, and now it has finally happened!”

“I used the beautiful Simple Stories collection, Harvest Market, which I also used to design the magazine cover, to showcase me holding the fall issue of Creative Scrapbooker. The colors in the word "dreams" coordinated perfectly with the hexagon colors. I added some clouds to make it appear as though my title was floating in the sky. Remember, never give up on your dreams!”

We love the hexagon background for Ali’s photo and all the glorious clouds that hold the acrylic title. Ali’s layout evokes that feeling that we can dream big and reach for it!
