Creating Texture with Acrylics

Hello CCD friends,

Today I am sharing a new layout in a 6x8 album documenting a special trip. I like creating pages outside of the page protector and I love 2x2 pocket pages, so I am using both in this design.

I love soft layered pages with lots of texture and white space. My album for recording a trip to the Outer Banks in April is a great place to experiment and to do lots of outside the pocket pages where I can physically touch the texture.

The majority of my layout is made with paper and stamps. It needed some touchable additions. One of my favorite things to run my hand over is embellishments that pop off the page. Acrylics, like the 'Beach Bum' piece, are perfect for adding texture with the added benefit of serving as a layout title.

And, I love how easy it was to attach the acrylic to my paper layers as well as the interest it adds to my spread.
