A Vertical Perspective Design with the July Everything Kit

On the blog today we are highlighting this colorful and happy design by creative team member Ashley. The designs Ashley creates in her traveler’s notebooks are elegant and often spread across two full pages, just like this one.
Ashley notes, “The rainbow colors on the ‘Summer Memories’ acrylic from the July Everything Kit, pretty much makes me giddy! I wanted to use the acrylic as the title of my layout and also bring in some of the Summer themed wood veneers from the Kit. And, I will let you in on a little secret about this layout...it started out with a completely different design and I didn't like it.”
“So, I took it apart and created a whole new design. I initially had a vertical design on the left hand side of the page with my photo at the top and the acrylic piece under it. But there was just something about the whole flow of the layout, that was throwing me off.”
“When I decided to place the photo in the middle and turn the acrylic piece vertically, things just fell into place!”
“Don't be afraid to rearrange your photos and embellishments if they aren't working for you. I ended up loving this final result and how the ‘Summer Memories’ acrylic piece fit right in with the colors from the paper products that I used!”
