Capturing Moments to Remember Always with Emma

Hello friends,

On the blog today, we’re showcasing a stunning 12x12 project by Emma Kate, featuring a beautiful grid design. Emma has skillfully incorporated an acrylic phrase and the postage stamp embellishments from our October kit into her layout, and the result is simply amazing! Let’s hear all about it from Emma.

“Hey Color Cast Fam, I'm back with another grid layout, I wouldn't say it's a grid design in the tradition sense but it definitely has that vibe. With various sized rectangles, each one slotting next to it's counterpart, like a 12x12 Tetris game.”

“I wanted to use the lovely 'Postage Stamps' from the October kit & I thought they lend themselves well to a cut apart sheet. I chose a cut apart sheet from the 'Market Square' collection from Maggie Holmes as the colours matched perfectly.”

“Like Tetris I played around with the positioning of all the elements, trying to make sure I had 3 of each colour/tone to create visual triangles. Once I was happy with the placement I adhered everything in place, Glossy Accents for the acrylic pieces, foam tape for the paper elements.”

“To finish I added my journalling & a couple of word strip stickers. Why don't you try your own game of Tetris & create a fun page! Until next time, Much love, Em x”
