Another ‘Awesome Summer Memory’ Layout Idea

Hello friends,

I have been in a scrapbooking rut for months due to super long hours at work and topped off by my son's emergency medical situation. I am working through it by choosing layouts I love on Pinterest as a template and then adding my own twist. In addition, I am taking some classes too.

My layout for today’s design team post was created with a photo template from Simple Stories and the June Let's Go paper kit from Cocoa Daisy. I chose the acrylic title I wanted to feature first and then decided to focus on the stamps in the Cocoa Daisy kit.

I started with a sheet of white 12x12 cardstock paper then used the photo template to cut a piece of colored cardstock the size of the Design 11 template. I used the template to place my photos and journaling, then I used the 3x4 stamp from the paper kit to create all the flowers, birds, photo corners and the stamped phrase for my layout. All the stamping was fussy cut and layered around my grid collage.

Before I adhered all the elements, I added stamped splatters in black ink as well. I really enjoy creating layouts on white backgrounds and having a template for my foundation has made a huge difference right now. I'm so happy I found a solution to help me through this rut.
