A Treasured Moment Captured

Hello CCD fans,

This month Jessica and I are sharing designs with the June everything kit and add-on items and to start us off, I created another 12x12 layout. Now 12x12 isn’t my normal jam but I’ve been bitten by some kind of 12x12 scrapbooking bug and have been creating many layouts in this size for the past month. I decided to ride that wave all the way to the beach, so to speak. And while this layout isn’t about a beach or the sea, I am happy I finally documented the star of this layout, my bear photo.

I chose a very colorful patterned paper I fell in love with as my base. Using an xacto knife, I made cuts to bring texture to the mountain landscape and a bit of the grassy hill areas.

Then I cut the paper down a bit and added a white border which I hand-stitched with a zig zag pattern. I knew I wanted to use the “treasured moment” acrylic for this layout with just a few embellishments so I looked through the coordinating collection items I had purchased and came up with a few I thought would accent my photo and title and one that would hold my simple journaling.

This layout was so fun to make!
