A Sparkle of Pure Happiness
Greetings!
On the blog today we are sharing this gorgeous layout featuring the “pure happiness” acrylic phrase from our April kits. This project is from creative team member Emma Kate and showcases lots of fun details including mixed media and torn paper edges. Let’s take a closer look and get all the details from Emma.
“Hey Color Cast Fam, I have another super colourful page to share with you today using the ' Pure Happiness' title piece from the March release & 49th & Market 'Kaleidoscope' collection. Firstly I worked on the placement of all my elements before I removed everything so I could work on my background.”
“I began with coating my white cardstock with gesso, once dry I used the packaging technique & Distress Oxide Sprays in Festive Berries, Lucky Clover & Peacock Feathers to create my background. Next I added my strips of torn patterned paper slightly left of my layout to serve as an anchor for my photo.”
“I layered my photo with various ephemera pieces then added the 'Pure Happiness' title. I love generic titles like this because they can be used to document so many different memories.”
“To finish I added a label above the title so I could add my journalling, fussy cut the bird, & used 2 ephemera butterflies. Plus, no layout of mine is complete until I add some sparkle.”
