What is Your “One Fine Day?”

Hello CCD friends,

It’s truly the best feeling to document something that has layers and layers of meaning…those amazing moments in life that are often indescribable. Sometimes they are ordinary everyday moments that live deep in your heart and sometimes they are milestones and dreams you have achieved. When I saw the “One Fine Day” acrylic in the May shop release I had a few flashbacks to moments in my life that changed everything. I immediately decided to document them all in my ‘all about me’ story album. The first story I chose to document is a big one, it’s about the walk to receive my bachelor’s degree.

I did a quick browse through my album and found the back side of a double 4x6 pocket page and a 6x8 full page pocket next to each other that were waiting for a story.

It was important for me to use a butterfly for its symbolism of change, hope, and life and the one I chose from the June everything kit is perfect.

Looking through my stash I found the magical moments acrylic on the right to balance out the acrylics on the left. I added stitching and vellum butterflies for texture as well as journaling about achieving this dream and how much it meant to have my family and friends share this day with me.
