Use an Acrylic as the Focal Point of a Mini Album Layout

Hello CCD friends,

Today I am sharing a simple flip up design I created in one of my 4x4 albums documenting a furry family member. I have albums for each of the pups our family has adopted over the years. None of them are finished but I do add to them on a regular basis. The layout I am sharing today is in my soul dog Lucky Ducky’s album.

While my favorite color is blue, I have been drawn to acrylics in this poppy color for several months. I looked through my stash of paper items for my pup albums and found a few items that go with this color tone. The “cherish” acrylic is the title of my double page spread. I wanted the title to be the focal point on this side and added stitching and a few hashtags for texture.

Following the rule of threes, I adhered two additional hearts to the tab indicating this is a flip up page.

I like placing my acrylic title on the outside of a page protector and the flip up/out method is a great way to add embellishments with texture and make them a point to draw the viewer into your design.
