Pup Love

Hello friends,

In our family, the pups have a very special place in our daily lives. I’m not sure I can live without a furry family member and all the joyful, fun and hilarious moments that come with them. Our dogs are family with very unique personalities and quirks that are endearing to us while they are here and long after they run free across the rainbow bridge.

Today I am sharing this 12x12 layout featuring the shop add-on, “sweet puppy,” from our February release. I started with a Vicki Boutin patterned paper from her Discover and Create collection. This project is from a class by Paige Taylor Evans which included various items from the VB collection as well as DMC floss to stitch the circles. And if you know me, you know I LOVE stitching paper.

I chose this layout because I knew it would be perfect for the “sweet puppy” wood veneer and the photos of our angel Jake. I love to document all the sweet, funny, and happy moments my pups have given our family…and I love all the acrylic and wood veneer items Jessica creates to complement our furry friend stories! Seriously, how cute is that pup profile with the tail sticking out of its circle frame?

And the wood veneer is complimentary to the color palette of the paper collection. Creating this project was fun and a little bittersweet because Jake is no longer with us. That is why I am forever thankful and grateful for my scrapbooks, filled with photos and stories that remind me of all the blessings and sweet furry characters I’ve had in this life.
