A Thankful Project by Emma Kate

Our featured design is from creative team member Emma Kate and she is sharing a 12x12 layout showcasing the gorgeous ‘thankful’ acrylic from our October kit. The scrolling font beautifully complements the paper collection Emma selected for her project.

“Hey Color Cast Fam, hope you are well! Here to share my latest layout using the October kit, I just love the muted tones of the acrylic pieces this month, all warm & cozy.”

“I chose the Thankful title & paired it with the 'Market Square' collection from Maggie Holmes, starting with a pennant shape I began to put my page together. For the hanging mechanism I wrapped a piece of patterned paper around a pencil to create a tube, then used twine & the inner heart piece from the postage stamps to finish the hung illusion.”

“Next, with a bit of fussy cutting, I created 3 floral clusters thus creating a visual triangle. Then I put my title pride of place at the bottom my photo.”

“To finish, like always I added a sprinkling of sparkle. We all have so many things to be thankful for & this is a perfect way to document our thanks. Until next time, Much love, Em x”

Emma’s layout is absolutely charming. Placing the ‘thankful’ acrylic across the bottom of the photo on the large banner background draws the eye into that endearing face.
