“A Sweet Love Story that is Older than the Sea”

Hello friends,

I am sharing one of the greatest love stories of my life, which happens to be a compilation of many stories. But before I talk about my project, I wanted to share that I truly enjoy capturing the lyrics of songs that speak to me in my journal. Jessica’s January kit with its love song theme had me searching the internet for old and new lyrics to record in my journal of quotes, poems and lyrics. Andy Williams recorded a version of Love Story (Where Do I Begin?) in 1970 and I think the lyrics are sweet in spite of their age.

“Where do I begin, to tell the story of how great a love can be, the sweet love story that is older than the sea…”

I chose this specific acrylic because the story of each of my angel pups is about love. Their love for us and our love for them. Each of them left me with important lessons in living and loving with all your heart as well as many crazy and wonderful memories.

My absolute favorite pocket page configuration is one with multiple 2x2 pockets. The bonus of choosing this 12-2x2 pocket configuration is that I could feature many of my angel pups AND design a full page to hold my layout title.

Here’s the full two-page spread in my 2024 stories album. While I am not a big fan of reds and pinks, I love them in this layout. The bright red and softer pinks remind me that life can be sad but lovely too.
