2022 Year In Review Grid Layout

Hello friends,

I’m sharing a year in review layout I created with items from the December everything kit. I absolutely love all the beautiful blue pieces Jessica included, as well as the add-ons, and of course the wood veneers! The grid was fairly simple to create because I used a 12x2x2 pocket page. The hard part was deciding which pictures I wanted to use and then ensuring they had the right tone for the various blue hues I included in my layout.

This is the last page in my 2022 10x8 stories album. To make the most of my pockets, I extended the length of the protector by folding a 6x8 piece of patterned paper in half and hand sewed it to the along the right edge. This part of the page is to hold my title and other design elements.

I embellished a few pockets to rest the eye and this allowed me to maximize the use of photos and journaling. After filling my pockets I added a bit of texture paste to the patterned paper with a stencil that extended the sky design and added texture.

Then I adhered my wood veneer title on the front and the “shine bright” acrylic piece to the back of the patterned paper.

There are still a few stories I want to include in this album and will be working on that over the next several months. That’s why I loved this little 2022 walk down memory lane.

If you have documented a review of 2022 with items from our shop, we hope you’ll share it with us. Tagging @colorcastdesigns or include our hashtag #colorcastdesigns on your social media post will help us see how you are documenting your stories. For the month of January, I invite you to do something creative every day. It’s good for your soul.
